The new building is completed, opening up new opportunities for daily use and community outreach.

One hundred and seventy two years since the very first church building was opened and 200 years since the first preaching point was established. Yes. where "our forefathers stood on this ground telling the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, of him crucified for each one of us. and of the resurrection from the dead that we might believe in Him and experience new life so our mission is still the same We thank God today for their faith, for without them our task might be greater today

The new building that was in the minds of the church twenty years ago- has now been built and is open for use: the work amongst the families and young people is being consolidated by a people who are seeking to follow the way of Jesus Christ

'Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it" I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:18-19,

'If my people, who are called by my name. will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked wavs. then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land ' •: 2 Chronicles 7:14)

'But you who revere my name , the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings.' (Malachi 4:2)

Peter addressing the crowd in. Acts 2 and v15 reminds us, 'This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: In the last days. God says, I will pour out my spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions. your old men will dream dreams Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below. blood and fire and billows of smoke The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'

THE GAP is the name we have given to our new building.

In Ezekiel 22 v 30 we hear the Lord saying, 'I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so that I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.'

It is the intention of the fellowship here that THE GAP will be used for the Lord's work here in Barrow.
