Proctors Pleasure Park

Proctors Pleasure Park was very popular with people coming to Barrow by train from Leicester and Loughborough at weekends.

Press cutting from 29th May 1953 showing the pleasure railway at Proctors Park during the holiday for Queen Elizabeth's Coronation.

 

This photo shows Andrew Webster with his mother alongside the boat which gave rides on the River Soar.   Barrow bridge can be seen in the background.   The boat was called Patty/Pattie?

 

The next two photos show a two year old Andrew riding on a roundabout at the park.
