This is Iris Perkins' grandmother.
According to the 1891 census, she was living in the "Beads House or Hospital (Charity)" aka the Old Womens Hospital. She was age 81 and had been born in Peatling, Leicestershire.
Residents of the bulding in North Street were called Bedeswomen.
The Old Womens Hospital was built in 1825 at a cost of £2,283. Funds came from Theophilus Cave's bequest.
In the 1851 census, Mary Marlow is living on North Street and was head of the household:

Mary (nee Parker) was born on 9th November 1810, and married Joseph Marlow in Peatling Magna on the 27th July 1828 aged 17. In the 1841 census, they were living on South Street in Barrow with their family Thomas (13), William (10), Rebecca (8), Joseph (6), Ann (4), Henry (2).
Mary Marlow died in 1893.
