- Summary: In AD1867 two C3rd AD glass cremation urns with lead covers were found - 5 in total. Two iron lamp-holders found and a cover of Roman pottery. Five C2nd AD skeletons found, two in cists of tile and limestone. Several more skeletons were found in AD1874, also a large amphora, 3 flagons, 3 lamps, a pot and a glass vessel. In AD1875/ 6, 3 flanged roof tiles, a lead weight, a spindle whorl & an amphora neck, all reportedly from the AD1867 graves, were donated. In AD1875 a skeleton was found on the Lime Works and an urn of dark earthernware near to the skull.
