- Summary: Geophysical survey suggested settlement; trial trenching in 2004 recorded Iron Age ditches and 48 sherds of pottery. Excavation in 2006 recorded ditches, Middle Iron Age pottery, numerous pits and three ring ditches, one of which contained internal features.
- Description: A geophysical survey identified anomalies suggesting an enclosed settlement and associated field system. Subsequent evaluation produced evidence of Iron Age ditches and 48 sherds of pottery suggesting an extensive area of occupation. Fieldwork suggests this was probably truncated by subsequent quarrying. No structural remains were found.
Evidence of an Iron Age settlement was recorded during excavation in 2006.
