Rectory Farm North St./Beaumont Rd. – Hyman , Kimber,  A.E. Kimber (advertises as a dairyman in the Barrow Official Guide with a blue cover).  There are still Kimbers residing  in the village.

Brook Lane Farm – Illiffe

 Cotes Rd(near cemetery). – Harry and Les Sanders

Sileby Rd. Near level crossing – Perkins

Melton Road(Near Fishpool Brook) – Illstone (small holding).   Mr Illstone owned 3 Crowns Inn and was a carrier and hearse drawer. Elsie Paget and Winn Burton granddaughters still in the village

Allotments

 On the 1880s and subsequent O.S. maps there are numerous allotments marked.  

The Glebe allotments, aka Parson’s Close in Nottingham Rd. is still in use. 

Allotments called Labour Gate were where the trees estate is. 

Hall Orchard School playing field was an allotment which Mr Brooks remembers cultivating.
