Oswald Henry Fielden - died 29th September 1917

Oswald was born in 1884 in Borth Cardiganshire, Wales. His father Robert was a Lieutenant Colonel, his mother was Emily Jane (nee Harrison). In the 1911 census Oswald and his widowed mother were living in the Cottage, North St Barrow on Soar as lodgers. He was 27, single, and working as a clerk to Mountsorrel Granite Quarrys. He died of wounds on 29th September 1917 at 12 Casualty Clearing Station Belgium and is buried at Poperinge West Flanders. He was a captain in the 5th Battalion, Territorial Leics Regiment.Probate was granted on 10th December to Emily Fielden, widow. Effects £982.18s 6d
